"The theatere becomes a forest - a dream world of moonlight parties, love triangles and magical transformations.

Follow the story on foot and be carried away by 'Shakespeare Anders': a feuding fairy king and queen cross paths with four runaway lovers and a group of actors trying to stage a play. As their feud grows, the royal couple meddles with mortal lives, leading to hilarious but dark consequences."

'Shakespeare Anders' is a project in which about 30 art artists give their own interpretation of William Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. From 07 May to 12 May, the romantic comedy hijacks the Blikfabriek and is transformed into a contemporary love scene under the Antwerp moonlight. Puck, the mischievous fairy, accompanies a small audience from short films and installations to theatre plays and dance performances. Behold love in all its glory, trace from scene to scene, and be careful not to stray from the path in the magical chaos.

We are so happy to continue this project in the open air! KunstZ welcomed family and friends after a long absence. Two courses are mapped out in the Blikfabriek that are played evening per evening. The event will take place to a closed audience (tickets are not freely available), but we hope to be able to share this with everyone in the future.
