Two boys, Amir and Hassan, grow up together in Kabul. One day their special friendship comes to a cruel end. Amir and his father flee to the United States where they make a new life, but Amir cannot forget Hassan. The discovery of a shocking family secret takes him back to Afghanistan, where Amir is confronted by ghosts from his past. His resolve to repay the old debt to Hassan takes him on a horrifying adventure.

'For you 1000 times' is a first direction by Aïcha Cissé (Maastricht Theatre Academy) with students and artists from kunstZ. It is a connecting story in which universal themes such as family, friendship, betrayal and forgiveness are central.

Aïcha Cissé (°Senegal) was featured in the much-played and successful 'Dis-moi wie ik am', a production of 't Arsenaal & GEN2020. Cissé also starred in 'Scarlatti', directed by Frans Marijnen for 't Arsenaal, and in 'Konijn met prumen' by Laika and Het Bos, directed by Jo Roets. She has toured for the past three seasons with 'Prêt-à-Aimer', the monologue she created under the wings of kunstZ.
